Scribes often mark an entry point into the expansive field of Magick, but can also lead one down the devout path of Prayer or the newer field of Science. No matter what the goal, proper MP management is crucial to this Job.
Scribes are restricted to both Light Armor and Light Shields so they often have low Defensive stats.
When it comes to Weapons, Scribes are not as concerned with Attack Damage. They can wield Maces, Staves, Tomes, and Wands. The last two give them a Ranged Attack whose damage is based on Magick Power.
Scribes have a slightly enlarged Ability Set that includes a few debuff removal skills. As a Scribe, you’ll most likely be healing, so Mend is highly valued. Revive is powerful enough to return downed units to fighting status, but it takes a while to learn. Blast provides a ranged, non-elemental offensive attack, which can turn the tide of a battle.
Scribes have a much sought after Passive that increases JP Gain as well as one that gives any Job the ability to equip Light Armor.
