Unit Management Wheel – June 10th 2023
One of the most important screens in this game (and this genre) is the screen where we manage our units. It’s been a long road in getting to this point and the Unit Management screen has taken on several forms.
The two that have stuck with me are the grid format and the rotary format. This is probably the thing I got the most feedback for across social media sites, mainly Twitter.
As of right now (June 2023) this is the rotary version. It rotates as you select whichever unit you want to modify. I took notes on everything players wanted to see when managing units & this is basically what I ended up with.
It’s a bit messy, but seeing all equipped items, abilities, passives at a glance is nice. It’s still a work in progress and one of the main feedbacks I have gotten is that it can be a bit overwhelming. This is a great point and one I will definitely dedicate some time to.
It may result in creating a ‘lite’ version of this screen, or paring down the data itself. In a future development log, I’ll explain more about the mechanics behind what you can do on this screen.
