Race Based Jobs: Feylin – July 26th 2022

While playing the demo, Miranda, the sole non-Human member of your party, tends to hit a progression wall early on. Since she is a Feylin, she doesn’t have access to any of the Generic Jobs as they are all for Humans.

Well now she does! New Feylin Jobs have been added: Fighter & Theurge. These Jobs are analogous to the Human Soldier & Scribe respectively. Since these Jobs are very similar, their abilities and passives mostly overlap, however there are some new ones added in. Their stat growth is also unique. In the future when you can recruit Feylin generic units, they’ll use this set of Jobs.

Long term goals have always included multiple races, race-based Job Trees, etc. I’ve simply added a sliver of this into the demo. As the only playable Feylin, she alone will have access to the Feylin Job Tree. This is a system that has been greatly influenced by Final Fantasy Tactics Advance/A2 where races have comparable Jobs & Abilities.

With regard to JP Share, the system where units share specific Job JP with other units, Fighters will get JP share when allied Soldiers earn JP, and Theurges will do the same with Scribes (and vice versa). Most Jobs will have multiple Jobs with which they share JP with due to the Jobs being basically the same.
