Emma Slate - New Fan Art

Post by lou »

I want to thank @boppinjap (Twitter) for doing a drawing of Emma looking so awesome! She also has her fang!!! For those of you who didn't know (all of you) Emma will have a trademark anime-style fang because fangs are awesome.

I really like it. The colors work really well and accent different parts of the armor. There’s a lot of “eye-catch” with how the colors have been contrasted. I would love to see more characters... or roles or classes.

Heheh, me too! As of now, our character art has been limited to two main characters. Once I get the sprites done I'll go back for more character art for generic units.

Emma's art shows what the Sniper Job would look like, as that's her starting Job.

I do have some more preliminary sketches, specifically of the Female Rogue generic. This was done by ART from discord:

It's a sketch, but I really love the direction she took it.

Then we have Alton, who you may have seen, this is probably the first character art I ever had commissioned, about a year ago.

Our character artist is redoing this, to focus more on the facial details as they will be used in-game. Alton's style will match Emma's newer character art as seen in the other thread. All done by the same artist, https://www.deviantart.com/simulyaton.

If you look at his DA page, he really excels at drawing period-style armored units from eastern european history. So mixing that with a bit of high/mid fantasy is sort of the style I am going for.
